This is what you will do

As our Corporate Governance and Legal Operations Specialist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our organization adheres to sound governance principles and practices. Your primary objective will be to manage key governance bodies, enhance legal processes, and foster compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage processes and documentation for our key governance bodies (Executive Committee, Supervisory Board and General meeting) and ensure adherence to governance principles and practices and is able to demonstrate this;
  • Analyze legal and governance processes to identify areas for improvement;
  • Create comprehensive documentation of legal and governance processes;
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies;
  • Utilize technology tools, including AI, to enhance legal processes;
  • Provide training and support to legal staff for adherence to procedures;
  • Implement measures to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy;
  • Propose and implement enhancements to optimize legal processes;
  • Collaborate with legal professionals, IT specialists, and business departments for process integration and improvement.

You bring this

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law, or related field.
  • 4-6 years experience in a dynamic commercial environment or legal and compliance setting with a strong interest in governance and processes of relevant experience in a dynamic commercial or legal/compliance environment;
  • Comfortable using legal technology tools and platforms related to legal and governance processes, along with excellent O365 skills;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with legal and business professionals, convey process-related information, and interact at C-level;
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and pragmatic with a flexible mindset;
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies to enhance legal and business workflows;
  • Strong analytical abilities to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of legal and governance processes;
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance within legal processes and governance requirements, including proper documentation of governance body decisions;
  • Organized and well-structured personality with a proactive approach, willingness to challenge the status quo, pragmatic, hands-on, and flexible mindset. Demonstrates accuracy, optimism, humanity, legal/technical savvy, teamwork, integrity, and excellent communication skills in both writing and speaking, along with active listening abilities (English fluently, Dutch a pre).
