We are expanding our Transport Design team and looking for a skilled and motivated Designer Transport with 3 to 6 years experience in DWDM and OTN technologies to support our growing network infrastructure. If you’re passionate about designing high-performance optical networks, driving innovation, and working on impactful projects, we’d love to hear from you.

In this role, you will be directly involved in the design, planning, and optimization of Odido’s DWDM and OTN optical transport networks, which form the backbone of our mobile and fixed services. Your contributions will ensure that our network remains scalable, efficient, and ready for future demands and services.

• Design, plan and optimize DWDM & OTN networks using Nokia’s cutting-edge platforms to support mobile and fixed networks
• Capacity planning and strategy development to ensure our network scales for future growth, supporting 5G growth, enterprise traffic, and next-gen services
• Produce High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation, ensuring that our network infrastructure aligns with best practices and operational needs
• Develop and deliver tailored solutions for unique and complex customer requirements
• Provide 3rd-line support for complex issues and escalations
• Play a key role in the vendor selection process (RFI/RFP), evaluating the best technologies to meet evolving demands
• Conduct proof of concept (PoC) activities to introduce and integrate new technologies and services to enhance transport network capabilities
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure seamless network implementation and integration
• Drive the introduction of innovative solutions, ensuring our optical transport infrastructure remains at the forefront of industry advancements
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to optical transport networks

What we are looking for:

We are seeking a passionate, results-driven individual with a deep understanding of DWDM and OTN technologies. You should thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and be eager to make a tangible impact on the evolution of our network.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
• Expertise in DWDM and OTN network design, experience in Nokia optical platforms (e.g., 1830 PSS family) is preferred
• Experience in optical transport planning, network capacity management, and scalability
• Basic knowledge of IP networking (e.g., routing protocols, addressing, subnets, etc.), CCNA is a plus
• Solid track record in creating HLD/LLD design documentation and translating business needs into technical solutions
• Working in multi-vendor environments is a plus
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and provide third-line support for complex optical network issues
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with attention to detail
• A proactive, strategic mindset focused on continuous innovation and optimization of the network
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work across engineering, operations, and business teams
