As Head of Strategic Programs, part of our MT and reporting to the CIO, you operate at the heart of our transformation agenda. You connect long-term strategy to execution, guide complex IT transformation programs, and ensure that change actually lands, in the organization, with our people, and ultimately with our customers.
You are not a distant portfolio owner. You are a calm, human leader who brings structure where things are complex, clarity where priorities compete, and confidence where pressure is high. You lead with empathy and credibility, knowing that real progress happens when people feel safe, heard, and focused.
This is what you will do
You lead Odido’s IT Transformation Portfolio, consisting of around ten major strategic programs with a combined financial responsibility of approximately €14 million. These programs directly support our three-year strategy and have visible impact across the business.
You work closely with the CIO, Executive Committee members, and senior leaders across Odido to define transformation roadmaps, success metrics, and decision frameworks. You translate strategic priorities into actionable, realistic plans, integrating dependencies, risks, milestones and ownership across IT, business and operations.
Governance is not a checkbox for you. You create clarity around scope, benefits, risks and accountability, and you ensure that decisions are taken consciously and at the right level. You provide transparent reporting to ExCo and Supervisory Board, not just on progress, but on impact.
Change matters to you. You actively drive organizational readiness, adoption of new operating models, systems and processes, and you understand that transformation only succeeds when people are brought along. In doing so, you indirectly lead and influence hundreds of colleagues across cross-functional, multi-national and virtual teams, internal and external.

Must-haves
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree (HBO/WO) in a relevant field, or equivalent experience built through senior leadership roles.
- More than 10 years of experience in leading complex IT programs, transformations or portfolios on the enterprise scale.
- Proven experience operating at C-suite and ExCo level, able to advise, challenge and align senior stakeholders.
- Strong financial and analytical acumen, including budget ownership and benefits realization.
- Deep experience in program governance, portfolio management and structured decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross-functional and international teams through change.
- A calm, human, non-alpha leadership style with strong communication and influencing skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in telecom, infrastructure or highly regulated environments.
- Background in large-scale IT or digital transformations.
- Familiarity with change management frameworks and organizational design.
You must already live in the Netherlands (work permit required), preferably within ~30 km of The Hague, and you’ll work at least 3 days per week from our Den Haag office.
