Delivery Chapter Lead
As Delivery Chapter Lead at Odido, you take full responsibility for people leadership, enabling delivery leads to focus on delivery instead of line management concerns. You build a culture of trust, growth and continuous improvement, helping teams deliver calmly and sustainably while supporting Odido’s ambition to become the most customer-driven telco in the Netherlands.
Dit ga jij doen
At Odido, we’re on a mission to become the Customer Champion of the Netherlands.
That ambition doesn’t start with technology, it starts with people. How they collaborate. How they grow. How they behave under pressure. And how they feel supported while delivering change.
As Delivery Chapter Lead, your role is first and foremost about people.
You lead the chapter that all delivery professionals report into, making you fully accountable for line management, development, engagement and culture across IT delivery.
This role is not about running programs or managing delivery yourself.
It’s about enabling others to do that well.
You are responsible for the people side of IT delivery: how delivery leads operate, how they collaborate, how they grow and how they show up, especially when things get complex.
All delivery professionals report into you. That means your focus is on:
- line management and people leadership
- learning and development
- behavior, mindset and professional maturity
- engagement, belonging and retention
- continuous improvement of how delivery is done
You work closely with stakeholders across IT Delivery, Product, Platforms and Business domains to create strong feedback loops on how people are performing, not just what they deliver, but how they deliver it.
You ensure that every delivery lead:
- has a clear role profile
- understands expectations and behaviors
- has a meaningful development plan
- gets time for reflection, learning and improvement
- receives honest feedback, including when conversations are uncomfortable
You don’t shy away from difficult conversations. You handle them with calm, clarity and respect, knowing that growth rarely comes without friction.
Delivery experience is helpful, because it gives context.
But the core of this role is people leadership, not delivery execution.
About your leadership style
You are a non-alpha leader by nature.
You don’t manage through authority or urgency.
You manage through presence, consistency and trust.
You understand that people rarely behave exactly as expected and that this is normal. You don’t try to “fix” people; you coach them, challenge them and help them develop.
You create a culture of:
- Psychological Safety
- accountability without fear
- continuous improvement
- openness to feedback
- pride in craftsmanship
You lead teams that are distributed and multicultural, internal and external, nearshore and offshore, including partners in locations such as India. You actively work on inclusion and belonging, so people feel part of Odido, regardless of where they sit.
About the team
The Delivery Chapter consists of delivery professionals working across multiple IT domains and initiatives. They operate in complex, high-pressure environments and rely on strong people leadership to stay effective, engaged and healthy.
As Delivery Chapter Lead, you take full responsibility for people leadership, allowing delivery leads to focus on delivery instead of line management concerns, from development plans and feedback cycles to wellbeing, growth and long-term engagement.
