Teamlead Internal Control

Are you an experienced internal control or risk professional seeking a role where you can make a real impact?

In this role, you strengthen and shape Odido’s Internal Control System (ICS) across the entire organization. You’ll work closely with colleagues in Finance, IT, and the business to ensure that risks are well understood and controls operate effectively.

Your key focus areas:

Lead and coach

You guide a small, skilled team. You coach process and control owners, support them in adopting best practices, and help elevate control maturity across the company. You create clarity, build trust, and enable others to perform at their best.

Strengthen the control framework

You oversee the internal control framework, ensure controls remain effective, and spot opportunities to improve business, finance, and IT processes. You play a central role in monitoring control quality and compliance.

Drive audit readiness and follow-up

You coordinate internal and external audits, manage follow-up actions, and ensure that remediation activities are completed and embedded in daily operations.

Build awareness and influence decision-making

You help management understand risks, controls, and key dependencies. You support them in making informed decisions and build risk awareness throughout the organization.

Report with clarity and impact

You prepare meaningful reports for senior leaders and the Supervisory Board, offering insight into the status of the internal control environment and progress on key initiatives.

Innovate and improve

You lead the development and maintenance of our ICS tooling, explore opportunities for automation, and make data-driven improvements that increase efficiency and reliability.

You don’t need to meet 100% of the requirements to apply — we encourage talent with diverse backgrounds and experiences to consider this role.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree;
  • 7+ years of experience in internal control, risk management, audit, or a related field;
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and general IT controls (GITCs);
  • Clear communication skills; you are comfortable working with both operational teams and senior management;
  • Ability to coach, guide, and inspire others;
  • At least 2 years of experience leading a small team.

What I'm going to earn

€5.500,- €6.850,-

We value clarity. This is the salary range for this position (gross per month excluding holiday allowance and bonus/commission). This salary range is based on the role, responsibilities, and relevant experience we are seeking. Your starting salary falls within this range, tailored to your knowledge and experience. Good to know: the scale extends further, so you have room to grow—in your role and in your salary.

Frequently asked questions

At Odido we work hybrid. That means you work partly from home and partly in the office, depending on your role and activities. The guideline is that you work in the office approximately 60% of the time (roughly 3 days per week for full-time) and the rest from home. This way we combine flexibility with collaboration and team spirit. Working fully from home is not the standard, as we find it important to meet each other in the office regularly.

That's possible temporarily under certain conditions: a maximum of 30 working days per 12 months, only within the EU (and a few designated countries), and with prior approval from your manager. Working from abroad on a long-term basis is not permitted.

Yes, Odido offers learning opportunities and a personal development budget of up to €1,000 per year (pro-rated for part-time), to spend on relevant training in consultation with your manager.

At Odido we work with professional and modern ERP systems to support financial processes efficiently. The exact systems (such as SAP, Oracle or other tools) may vary by team or process. You'll receive more specific information on this during the application process.

Yes, Odido offers opportunities to further develop yourself through training. For role-specific (essential) courses, costs are reimbursed by Odido. In addition, there is a personal development budget you can use for relevant training that contributes to your growth and career. In consultation with your manager, you could use this for financial qualifications such as RC or RA, provided they align with your role and development goals.

The collaboration between Finance and commercial teams is close and results-oriented. Finance acts as a business partner, supporting data-driven decision-making in areas such as performance, forecasting and investments. By working together at the head office, there is a lot of direct contact and coordination, resulting in short lines and effective collaboration between teams.
