Senior Consultant Project Lead - INTERIM
Are you an experienced freelance consultant who thrives at the intersection of technology, finance, and regulation? We are looking for an independent Senior Consultant / Project Lead to support the implementation of European Consumer Credit Directives and the migration of Google App Store billing in a dynamic, high-impact environment.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE
As a Senior Consultant / Project Lead, you will be responsible for independently executing a clearly defined assignment covering two parallel workstreams. You will translate complex business and regulatory requirements into practical, actionable plans and support their implementation.
You will operate as an independent professional, collaborating with stakeholders across business, legal, finance, and technology domains, without hierarchical reporting lines or line management responsibilities. You determine your own approach, methodology, and planning to deliver the agreed outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / AREAS OF DELIVERY
- Develop project plans, roadmaps, and implementation strategies
- Translate European Consumer Credit Directives into practical solutions
- Advise on and support the implementation of Google App Store / Play billing solutions (subscriptions, in-app purchases)
- Identify and analyze risks, dependencies, and compliance challenges
- Facilitate alignment between relevant stakeholders
- Deliver clear and structured documentation for decision-making and potential audits
- Monitor progress and provide status reporting on outcomes
- Deliver project handover and closure documentation
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES
- Extensive experience as an independent consultant in complex (preferably regulated) environments
- Strong background in financial services, mobile platforms, and/or regulatory frameworks
- Experience with European Consumer Credit Directives and/or app store billing ecosystems
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complexity into practical solutions
- Excellent communication and senior stakeholder management skills
- Independent, pragmatic, and results-oriented mindset
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: 7 months
- Contract type: Freelance (ZZP)
- Working hours: 32–40 hours per week (hybrid; on-site presence as agreed)
- Rate: €85 – €110 all-in (excluding VAT)

At Odido we work hybrid. This means that as an IT specialist you work partly from home and partly in the office, depending on your role and activities. The guideline is that you are present in the office part of the week to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing, and you can work flexibly from a distance the rest of the time. Working fully remote is not the standard.
For roles within Network Operations, an on-call or standby arrangement may be part of the position. This means you are available outside regular working hours on a rota basis to resolve incidents.
