This is what you will do

As a Senior Data Governor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency, streamlining, and consistency of our governance processes, and driving the quality of data across the organization. You will be expected to take the lead on key deliverables and provide direction to stakeholders at all levels. Your efforts will help to uplift data management across Odido and create trust in data, ensuring a future-proof and data-driven organization.

To organize ourselves as a data-driven company, we must have a solid data governance framework in place. As a Senior Data Governor, you will use your experience in managing people, processes, and technology to drive this change and enable the organization to utilize all types of data.

Your scope and responsibilities will include:

Data Governance: Provide expert guidance in the design of data governance operating model, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Define standards, policies, and procedures for ensuring data governance at all stages of the data lifecycle.

Data Quality: You will be responsible for analyzing data quality across domains, and for improving data processes. This includes designing and executing the Data Quality roadmap for all data-related systems, and addressing technical, functional, and process-related data quality issues.

Data Protection: You will ensure that our business users can use data in a compliant, safe, and usable way, and that we continuously monitor and improve security and compliance to mitigate the risk of breaches or non-compliance.

Finding Data: You will be responsible for the proper roll-out and implementation of Collibra, our data catalog platform for data assets. This includes ensuring that the proper products are in Collibra and that end users can easily find and understand them.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders from various business units and IT to understand their data needs, challenges, and priorities. Build consensus and alignment on data governance principles, standards, and practices.

Data Literacy: You will be responsible for educating the entire company on how to use and apply data. This includes setting up training programs, ensuring that training materials are available, identifying the need for additional training, and promoting training opportunities within the company.

You bring this

The department Intelligence & Assurance (I&A) is the central data governance and business assurance department of Odido, including its sub brands Simpel and Ben. The goal of I&A is to make the organization more data-driven, by ensuring the quality, reliability, traceability, consistency, and security of data, and aligning operations with the strategic direction of the organization. This helps to build trust in data integrity, support various assurance processes and controls, and ensure that data supports the business goals of the organization. By doing so, the organization can improve its overall business performance, manage risks, ensure compliance, and build confidence among stakeholders.

Within I&A you have; - a business assurance team, managing controls to ensure quality and reliability of our data and business processes, - a data governance team responsible for defining and managing the data governance strategy for the entire organization, in close collaboration with relevant functions in IT and other departments, - and an Intelligence development manager to steer a company wide data & analytics chapter and to manage topics like AI development and governance.

The senior data governor role is part of the data governance team and will play a crucial role in achieving these goals.

Here is a list of qualifications and competencies that a candidate for the senior data governor role should have:

- A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as data management, computer science, or business administration. - At least 5-7 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field. - Strong knowledge of data governance principles and practices, including data quality, data protection, and data cataloging. - Experience in managing people, processes, and technology to drive data governance initiatives. - Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide direction to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. - Excellent analytical and advisory skills, with the ability to analyze complex data governance issues and provide sound advice to stakeholders. - Experience in change management, with the ability to drive the adoption of data governance practices across the organization. - Strong knowledge of IT and business processes, with the ability to align data governance initiatives with the strategic direction of the organization. - Knowledge and experience in Collibra is a plus. - Proficiency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
