Odido is looking for passionate Linux Engineers to strengthen our Linux/Unix team. Whether you're a Medior or Senior professional, you will play a key role in enhancing and maintaining our infrastructure. Your work will include automating processes, building and expanding systems and platforms, and supporting operational excellence through lifecycle management and infra delivery.

Our team continuously pushes boundaries with new technologies and a commitment to improvement. While Medior Engineers focus on developing expertise, Senior Engineers drive innovation and team growth through leadership and advanced skills.

The Role

You will join the Cloud & Infrastructure Solutions team within our Network department, consisting of approximately 30 professionals. Together, we are responsible for:

• Managing relationships with external suppliers for infrastructure.
• Collaborating with Delivery Managers, Product Leads, and Project Managers to align on goals.
• Improving the infrastructure landscape with a focus on automation and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

For Medior Level:

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of (new) systems and platforms.
• Support team operations through effective collaboration.
• Assist in lifecycle management of systems and software.
• Gain deeper technical expertise in Linux, networking, and security.

For Senior Level:

• Lead complex projects, ensuring delivery of innovative and maintainable solutions.
• Mentor and coach team members to build collective expertise.
• Make data-driven decisions to improve systems and processes.
• Build strong relationships across teams to foster collaboration and growth.

You bring this

For Medior Level:

• 3-5 years of practical experience as a Linux administrator/engineer.
• Solid understanding of Linux (Debian, Red Hat, or derivatives).
• Experience with shell scripting (Bash, Perl, PHP, etc.).
• Knowledge of services such as Apache, Tomcat, MySQL, Redis, etc.
• Familiarity with Puppet, Git, and basic networking concepts.
• Good communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.

For Senior Level:

• 5-7+ years of experience with proven leadership in projects.
• Advanced knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and SAN storage management.
• Strong communication skills to foster team relationships.
• Ability to mentor, coach, and drive team growth.
• Proficiency in security protocols and data-driven decision-making.
